WidePSX unable to connect to MS 2020

In prep for our B747 simbuild beginning August (G-CIVM cockpit conversion), I was attempting to do some research on my home system. I wanted to connect PSX with MS2020 for the visual. I have tried all manner of setups to no avail. I am getting the Unable to establish connection message. The server/client seem to connect OK. The boost server seems to be running as indicated in the screen shot (that i don't know how to include in this post). I modified the Simconnect file as required (i think) and saved it back. I have looked at all the documentation i can find related to the subject but i still can't get it to work. I would also like to try Xplane 11 as well to do a comparison, but first things first.

I hope someone can help?

Hello Aeroman,
May be the following thread helps you any further:

Hi Eric,

Thanks for your reply, I followed the post you pointed me at and gave it a try. Looking at the netstat data i found a few likely candidates and updated PSXWide and the config file as suggested, unfortunately it didn't work. Out of interest I entered 12345 as a port address's to see if it came up on the netstat list after starting MS2020 but it didn't. I used 192.168.0.58 as the ip address and then 12345 as the port. As an example what did your ip and port addresses look like? I did revert to port 29747 at one point just to see if a miracle happened but it didn't. Still scratching my head, I am just starting out with PSX and haven't much experience with it but as PSX wide has certainly connected to the main and boost server i think i have something right.

Cheers
Tom

I am having the same problem.  Client and boost are connected but PSX host not connecting:

MSFS and WideFSX are on the same PC.  Simconnect.xml text below, modified as per instructions.

THRUST REF, VNAV SPEED!

Icarus747

And exactly in what order whould things be started?  Do I start PSX, then MFS, then WIDEPSX?  and what exactly do I choose for aircraft in MSFS (or does it matter) and do I just start a flight at any location, or same as PSX?
