Hi Felix,

Brilliant product! I was worried about it running slow (like most of my other apps since that dreaded IOS 8 upgrade) but its butter smooth. Thanks again for your hard work!
Regards,

Jermaine.

Works well on iPad Mini. Straightforward to run it -- IP address, bang, done. No config except that address (unavoidable without broadcast which we don't want anyway) and, at any time, selecting left/center/right. No fuzz. No features. Just works.

Felix: I located the photo file. The raw imagery is at 1470x2287x24 due to the age of the photos (March 2004). However I can zoom in to over 180% and still the results are totally acceptable. All imagery is available both in annunciators off and in annunciators lit up. I don't know whether your app requires vector files, for scalability, but you can get these photos (the two raw images are under 1.5 Mb together).

Zoomed in to 200%, then cropped to fit on the Forum

I'm glad everyone likes it! I use it all the time now. If you do like it, please post reviews on the App Store!

I'm working on an update (ALREADY!). I'll add the Framed Letters, and i'm planning on adding support for the iPhone.

If anyone has any other suggestions feel free to let me know.

Hello Felix!

I tested you app and it works great! Only things I may add, just to help you improve it:
- If you start the app while the iPad is in "landscape" mode, the "title bar" remains in landscape, even if the MCDU is in portrait. Not a big deal, but looks odd.
- When switching between MCDU pages, we don't get the screen blanking, as it's in PSx, and real MCDU. In the app, the text simply slowly (line by line) replaces the old text
- not really a bug, but (as I have also 2 iPads 1 already used for charts)... is there a possibility to make your app compatible with iOS5? It could enable older devices. Here it requires iOS 7.1... so only iPad 2 and more recent.
Anyway, it's great, and looks very crisp, even on an iPad 2 that's non-retina.

Adding to the screen blanking: there is a difference between "blank screen" and "clear display buffer". "Blank screen" turns the display off but it can be turned on again and all data will be still there. The real system uses "blank screen" extensively to signal key presses to the user. I think that if you implement this screen blank (available from PSX as a variable) you will have immediate success.
