Sorry for starting a topic on this, but after fighting for 1 hr to try to configure my Saitek Rudder Pedals and Cyborg X joystick, which were not being seen by PSX USB interface menu, I decided, after Tércio pointed it out to me, to explore the possibility of using an old PS1 keyboard.

Well, my PC doesn't accept more than 1 PS/2 connector, so, I have a PS/2 keyboard and an USB mouse, but it works now. Ufff!

Now learning to fight the inertia of the huge 744, and the stiffness of the Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS joystick Tercio had kindly offered me for my Combat Flight sims :-) I think I'll have to get a softer joysitck, or my harm will make Schwarzenegger blush when he nexts sees me :-)

Speaking of cougar and mouse ... here comes the mouse police:

I'm always amazed at how an odd beat like this can produce so much swing.

I had to dump my Logitech wireless keyboard and trackball a few months after acquiring it.  They were just too unstable and erratic under Windows 7 with my otherwise very stable and rational tower PC.  I went back to their wired keyboard and trackball and have mostly been able to use these components since switching.

I now wonder how much of that history was due to the Logitech options and sensitivity configuration software app - my wired Logitech stuff has new misbehaviors each time they attempt to update this software.

Unfortunately, there are some things I apparently must set via their software rather than in Windows.  I must set a lot of buttons and adjustable functions and rates via their configuration software.  I guess they are trying to get around having all the zillion different PC and Windows versions making their hardware even less rational and even more unusable, but perfection seems not to be at hand.

It is tempting to use an ancient wired IBM keyboard and mouse for PSX and perhaps other stuff!  I think someone even makes such a keyboard, including the IBM-style noisy and very mechanical-feeling keys.  No macros, no software adjustments - just typing!
Best wishes,

This problem does not seem to be associated with all makes of devices. I am using a wired keyboard and a wireless mouse with a T Flight Hotas X without any problems.

In fact, I wonder whether the problem may be limited to wireless keyboards — certainly, my Logitech wireless mouse has shown not the slightest inclination to interfere with PSX. I do have a wired keyboard, though.     8)

Speculation: it is not the wired versus wireless. It is simple versus complicated. Wired keyboards tend not to have extra keys and a heap of additional functionality in extra software. Wireless must always bring extra stuff to the table to become more interesting. Extra stuff shows up in the USB lists.

Hoppie, my wired keyboard is a Microsoft Digital Media keyboard and is quite complex having 15 additional keys and a zoom lever.

That was the one I trashed yesterday :-)

Razer Blackwidow ... every key can be reprogrammed ... fills the entire list  ... does not seem to be a problem as other devices are above it ... I am afraid to unplug though in case that changes the order.

Now if only I can get the lighting control in PSX to adjust the lighting of my keyboard and mouse I'll be all set  8)

Logitech G15 gaming keyboard (with additional keys and functionality) in my case.    8)
