Connecting RealTraffic generates a chime

Connecting RealTraffic to PSX leads to a repetitive chime in Windows, it's the "Windows Background.wav" sound that is associated in Windows with these program events:

- Asterisk
- Default Beep
- Exclamation
- Low Battery Alarm
- System Notification

The chime sound happens frequently, maybe several times a minute. There are no visible notifications or popups. I looked at the Task Manager and I couldn't see anything co-occurring with the chime.

I emailed Balthasar (back in February), and he told me that RealTraffic doesn't generate any aural alerts, so it seems to be happening not native to RealTraffic, but as a function of Windows, and then only when RealTraffic is connected to PSX. The connection is what drives it: having both RealTraffic and PSX open doesn't start the chime, but connecting them does, and disconnecting them stops it.

Any ideas what this might be, and how I can silence the chime?

Thanks!
