hi guys,

i thought about the pentagon crash. i suppose you
all know the official facts and what conspiracy theories
are about it. i also think that most of you guys are
interested in aircraft accidents.

besides that many things remain unknown.. just by
looking at the pentagon pictures... do you believe
that a 757 hit it?
a yes/no without explainations
will do it, but explainations are appreciated :-)

i dont say right or wrong, this is just a personal
interest of me, i want to get a picture.

thanks

hey c'mon guys! 25 reads and no reply?
scientifically spoken we have a significant
effect, p<.05 ;-)

no one will punish you if you answer :-)

alright, i'll start. i say "no".
this is not because i like wild theories. but thinking
the plane "vaporized" as officials tell, is a wild theory
to me. also they found a single, small engine in
the pentagon and it was not the apu. there are a lot
of things unclear on both sides, i dont know what
happend, but i dont believe a 757 did that.

i also wonder about the ignorance of most people
concerning that topic.
besides.. if no one wants to talk about it... i am
curious... why is that? is the topic not exciting?
does it not belong in the ps forum? is it private? is
it because we cant change anything anyway and
we are more busy with everyday problems?

thanks,

olli

It's just because I have no clue what happened there, honest.

Even if the conspiracy theorists are correct, what can we do about it?

The evidence has been buried, probably in the same spot as Saddam's WMD

I'm a (retired) physical scientist.  I mostly only have one way to analyze and think about things - evidence based.  Without my own evidence set and competence with respect to the investigation in question, I don't make formal, serious conclusions most of the time.  Informal conclusions are quite another thing, of course, such as "is it going to rain today", etc.

Thus, after reading your question(s) in this thread, I simply don't know how to respond since it is apparently not just an informal, not-to-be-seen-by-others discussion.

I hope these comments help explain why I didn't respond - I suspect others may feel much the same.

Now if you were to provide an all-expenses paid trip to a nearby pub/bar, and if you 'd pick up the beer tab, I'm guessing you could get lots of participation!  Even so, I wouldn't have any credible evidence of my own, and wonder if a good pub debate is really possible?

Just my two cents/euros.
Best wishes,

Phil Bunch

I'll take the bait.  (I may regret this.)  I think that it is plausible that a 757 hit the pentagon, and in fact, I think that explanation is more plausible than other explanations.   I don't claim to know what happened.

alright guys, you got me.

i also talked to a guy whom i trust very much, he is
in diplomatic service and he knows how things work.
he said that conspiracies of this scale could not
succeed in the western world. i mean there are still
a lot of things unclear to me, like a 757 body behaving
like a hollow charge (which was the official answer
to the hole mentioned in "loose change"), but alright,
i have not been there and alternate theories are
somewhat unplausible too.

that diplomat also told me that the georgian war of 2008
was not georgias fault, but we will understand more, when
georgia is invaded a second time and there is no
more a pro-western government in power. so in
my quest for truth, i will shift goals.
