Hello all !

just a quick questions....
Since many of you utilize the program TOPCAT, what kind of values you put on the "edit aircraft" page ?
On PS1 the Max Fuel value is 177.000 Kg, but on TOPCAT the max value is 173.425 Kg.
This is the only value that is not possible to change...
Did you guys think that 3757 Kg of fuel doesent make any big difference ?
To me it seem quite a big quantity..

Any input is welcome !
Thanks and Best Regards

Hello,

PS1 allows non-normal fuel weight entries for experimental purposes; the limit of the edit field is higher than the allowed limit, and the GW can go up to 447 tons. Note that fuel weight is always a matter of fuel type and fuel temperature, i.e. of fuel density and the used tank volume. Also, the tank volume decreases slightly if CF6 engines are installed (special engine strut design).

In PSX, for the standard 744, the fuel weight entries are limited to 173032 kgs (with CF6) and 173700 kgs.

The 744-ER with AUX tanks is limited to 183450 kgs.

If I recall correctly, I always used density factor 0.8.

Cheers,
