Issues installing PS1.3

Right then, I've got myself ready to install PS1.3

I've found my PS1 box with floppies and manual.

I've found my PS1.3 upgrade box with a CD but no sign of the manual.  I've been through where it should be in the loft but it's not there.

I've built a Windows 98 Virtual Machine within my Mac Pro.  It works and it works well.

So it's time to install PS1.3

Ooops, it's an upgrade.  That means I need to install PS1 first.

*bugger*

I've not got a floppy drive in my Mac.  In fact, I don't have any computers in the house with floppy drives.

Luckily I think I have a USB floppy drive somewhere.

I do and I've found it.

My Mac doesn't recognise it.

I suspect that not having my manual is going to be a problem as and when I do manage to get PS1.3 installed but in the meantime is there any way I can persuade the upgrader to work?

Just to prove I have what I say I have because I know that piracy sucks...

If you drop me a mail, I'll fix you up.

Thanks Jeroen, email sent.

Jeroen, you're an absolute star!

I can't remember how to display the frame rate but it seems pretty responsive.

Jeroen Hoppenbrouwers

CDU MENU -> Simu -> CPU PERF.
It shows two figures, like 6000/18.
The left one is "spare CPU cycles" and should be as high as possible.
The right one is the frame rate. That should be 18.2, so mostly 18 and once in a while 19.

I'm getting 576/18 with the occasional jump to 600/19 so that'll do me.
