This ad seems that it belongs to another decade, not a post 9/11 world; anyway, enjoy.

Nice video. It makes me so sad to see, what this bloody terrorists distroyed.
This nice interaction and openess between crew and pax will never return.
It has become a cool industry were there is now place for a dream.

I remember flying on an Argentine Airlines 742 back in the late 1990s from Buenos Aires to Miami. Just before the dinner service the Captain walked the whole length of the airplane greeting everyone, and chatting with anyone who wished to engage him (and Argentine Airlines was (and is) not known for above-average service.)
In those days, if the crew felt like leaving the flight deck for any reason other than lavatory use, they were allowed (and maybe encouraged to, as long as a reserve pilot took his/her seat.)

I have lots of good memories (and videos) of flying in the 1990s. Sadly, that trust will never come back.

I flew in the US back in 1998. In my pocket I had a 11cm Swiss
army knife with a lockable blade, no trouble getting through
the security.
A few years earlier my parents and I flew to Crete. The
captain made a quiz on how heavy the 737 was on takeoff.
First and second price was the jumpseat on landing... what
a blast...
