Hi Guys,

When installing PS1.3 in Windows Vista with DOSBox, should I patch PS1.3 using the 747IPC installer or should I just apply the official 1.3a update. Thanks.

Regards,
Awais M.

The patches are always good; they have nothing to do with the environment PS1 runs in.

Ok, and is it fine to install 747ipc, after the 1.3a update and the NAVData update?

Awais M.

Yes, but the WinPS1 part may fail in DOSbox and/or Vista.

Ok, works great in DOSBox, but there is an occasional freeze for about 0.5 seconds, when in fullscreen mode.

Are these freezes related to sounds being played or files being loaded, maybe?

Not sure, possibly when files are being loaded, and they always occur when in full screen mode and never in windowed mode.

After tweaking the various cpu, video, sound settings in DOSBox, everything is running very smoothly now.

However, there is often a clicking sound, and occasional cutting of sound.

Would it be possible to post instructions for this?
