Simbrief with BACARS?

I like use of Simfest, as it is integrated with BACARS.
But I would like to use Simbrief for planning purposes (weight, route, speeds, etc.). This as I struggle with Simfest always setting my ZFW to max on cargo, but also to be able to use alternative routes. :)

My question is:
- How can I use Simbrief to plan, but keep BACARS functionality - upload of route, weights, winds aloft, etc.?

Basically, how to use Simbrief for planning instead of Simfest, but keep BACARS functionality.

macroflight

I'm not aware of any way to simply point the portal to an existing Simbrief flight plan. It would be nice if that option was available.

My use case would be to have more control over the airframe used, e.g use a 744ERF.

However, many of the things you ask for are possible already:

If you want a different ZFW, you can click the "down arrow" on the Planning page for the flight and then change the number of pax and amount of cargo. Then click the "checkbox" sign to save and the "calculator" to re-plan in Simbrief using the new numbers.

If you want to use a different route, just replace "Auto" in the "ATC Route" column with the route you want, then click the calculator to ask Simbrief to plan using that route.

Speeds: you cannot change directly in Planning, but you can change your "Default Cost Index" on the Preferences tab.
