My views keep changing as I switch between them - Why would this happen?

Hi all,
Long time no see.

Something odd is happening.  I load PS, but as I switch between views, they all suddenly mess up. I can replicate this every single time.

I've made a video, opening PS, I'm on view 1, I switch to view 2 and it's OK, I switch to view 3 and it's OK but as soon as I switch to view 4, it initially loads OK but then jumps and everything moves around.  View 9 also causes the same thing to happen, if I were to step through 1,2,3 (skip 4), 5,6,7,8 and then 9, 9 sits for a second and then jumps around.  If I go straight from 1 to 4, it all moves, if I go from 1 to 9, it all moves.

The video is on YouTube, I've deliberately added a delay before the jump on view 4.

My 9pack file is here

Running on an M1 Mac Studio with an Apple Studio display.

Does anyone have any ideas please?

Thanks.

Keith.

Hi Keith,

it looks like your layouts 4 and 9 have a smaller frame size just slightly below full screen size. The Mac has a snap function that automatically makes the frame edges jump to the nearest edge of the monitor or of another program frame.

You may compare the size data in your 9pack file.

You can easily copy the size and position of layout 1 to layout 4 (and 9) by using the copy functions on Instructor > Layout > Setting. Be sure to select the desired parameters from the pop-up menus. Do not copy "all".

Fantastic, Hardy, thanks, that seems to have resolved it.  Now to try and update from 10.156.

Should this Java still be good when I update?
