Xplane 12 Fatal Error

Hi All, Back again with another question.

In our sim we mainly do take offs and landings in the sim which works great.

What doesn't work is doing a full flight.

I've tried doing EGCC to EGPH, and also EGCC to EGLL. Full route is programmed in the FMC but on both flights it doesn't reach cruise and comes up with fatal error on all screens.

I'm guessing the sim thinks the plane has crashed but the plane is up at 19000ft so hasn't collided with any terrain.

Any ideas?

We're using XPlane 12 with XView

Hi,

this is an X-Plane specific question which I cannot answer. Therefore I'm moving this topic to the Accessories subforum.

When this happens, please take a look at ...

Instructor > Analysis > Touchdown and check if there's a high touchdown sinkrate; that would be a collision with X-Plane terrain.

Instructor > Analysis > Profile and check if there's a high terrain peak; that would be a wrong terrain peak injection from X-Plane.

Does the fatal damage occur suddenly or are there any engine failures etc. prior to that, followed by a descent?

Also, is this an X-plane crash (program abort of visuals only), or a simulated airplane crash (all software running but PSX claims fatal damage, while X-plane freezes in mid air)?

CaptainSmurf

Hardy, Will check the 2 tabs you have suggested. I'm back in the sim tomorrow so will try a full flight. The fatal damage comes on suddenly. Will report back.

Jeroen, Simulated plane crash, all screens that use PSX come up in red with fatal error
