Instructor Station opening twice

Hi Everyone. Fairly new to Aerowinx PSX. Recently become an instructor at a sim centre.

We're having a weird issue on one of the pc's that the instructor station runs on.

When it starts it opens it twice. Can't figure out why.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

PSX is auto starting when windows starts up

Many Thanks

Phil

P.S I've got 2 photos of it open twice but can't attach the images

Hi Phil,

this can only happen if you run two instances of PSX.

How do you start PSX? With ...

AerowinxStart.jar

... or with ...

AerowinxNetStart.jar

...?

Or the startup command for the Windows installation was accidentally duplicated.

Hi Hardy, Thanks for responding.

We have about 6 PC's each with PSX on, Each PC manages one screen. E.g Pilots PFD and ND on one screen (PC 1) FO PFD and ND on another screen (PC 2) etc With the Instructor station on another screen with it own PC.

It starts with AerowinxStart.jar

Thanks

Phil

I've checked that, There's only one instance of AerowinxStart.jar in the startup folder

One instance cannot generate two Instructor panels. That is 100 % sure.

What are the window titles on your two Instructor panels? Do they include the words CLIENT or SERVER?

QuoteThere's only one instance of AerowinxStart.jar in the startup folder

An instance is not a file. An instance is a running PSX. You can double-click AerowinxStart.jar and a PSX instance will start. Then you can double-click that same AerowinxStart.jar a second time and a second PSX instance will start. Then you can double-click that same AerowinxStart.jar a third time and a third PSX instance will start. And so on.

CaptainSmurf

They both say client. It opens up automatically with windows and there 2 instances running.

I've also tried closing both instances and manually opening the shortcut with one double click and still opens two lots that both say client

Hardy Heinlin

This is clearly a net start demo with two networked PSX instances which occurs when you double click AerowinxNetStart.jar instead of AerowinxStart.jar.

You're running two synchronized PSX flight decks, either of them generates an Instructor panel.

I'll take a photo when I'm back in tomorrow.

Thanks for your help so far

UPDATE, Been in today and Hardy was right. It was the NetStart not the normal one.

Changed to the normal and it's now only opening once :)

I'm sure I'll be back with more questions.

Cheers
