Hello all,

I'll be moving the Aerowinx web sites to a new host in the next 48 hours or so.

You can keep posting messages on this forum, but these messages you post from now on won't be transferred to the new server. The transfer will only copy the messages of the period from 2009 till today, 13 April 2025.

I'll notify you here when the transfer is completed. You will probably need to refresh your forum cookies then.

Thank you!

"This message will destroy itself in about 48 hours."

If it's gone, we have moved   :-D

Will the server transfer change capabilities of the forum or will it stay the same? (missing the easy ability to attach and insert pictures in an easy way) Would be great for sharing pics on cockpit building and screenshots with the community :)
Best regards

Uploading pictures means significantly increasing the storage requirements of the site, and growing forever. To work around this I've crafted temporary storage, which is only a bit more involved and works fine:

It's not as simple as plain drag-'n-drop or upload, but close enough -- I believe.

There are some problems. It may take longer than 48 hours ...

Hardy Heinlin

It's a real pain. I just terminated my account at the new host. They are not reliable and communication takes days. Those great awards they got probably refer to their services ten or twenty years ago.

Now testing the next host ...

JG

Hardy, It seems timely that all PSX users remember that the forum is a huge part of the success of PSX and is the glue that adheres the community together. All basic stuff that we all would know and recognise but I would like to convey my sincere appreciation for your efforts keeping all of it together with product support and management and provision of the forum service. It doesn't hurt to actually express this gratitude occasionally and please let it be known if some donations are required to continue the extraordinary service.
Kind regards, John.

Agree with JG,

The PSX community is the best that I know of on the internet.

Every morning I sit down at my desk with my morning coffee and the first tab I open is the forum.  A tradition for nearly 20 years I suppose now, if not longer!

+1

I'm more the "silent reader" than active poster. But same as Gary, it's my daily read with morning coffee.

What fascinates me most, is the community's expertise and knowledge, which is excellent!

Hardys support and this community are unique!

Thank you, guys.

I'm testing another host, and that seems OK, but now the problem lies in the forum software. I'll be working on that for another day* or two, and if that fails, I'll stay on the current host.

* I should say "night", not "day". I sleep when the sun is up. I'm currently in vampire mode.
