Quote from: macroflight on Fri,  5 Sep 2025 19:07If you want pushback to work from the EFB, it seems you need version 1.1.1 of the PSX.NET GroundServices module. Since that version also seems unavailable for download, I have made a copy available here.

Thanks Macro,

I modified the Groundservices & Doors files, they seem to work better than before but I still need to do some tweaking. Will keep updating.

Note the pushback page has now moved to a different menu item - tip: if you get the red cross on the taxiline then press left or right it will line up perfectly on the taxiway at default turn radius.

Cheers

Thank you Gary for the updates, these addons you provide make a difference in my Sim experience.

I wanted to ask you about EFB Library, I tried to add a couple of my documents to the (EFB/manuals) but they do not show in Library when I start EFB. Do I need to do any configuration?

Regards,

Update : It worked, not sure why my docs didn't show at first but they did after restarting my PC.

Thanks again :)

I have got pushback working in the EFB with PSX.NET running with an updated version of PSX.NET.GroundServices.dll (v1.1.1) but I wonder if you, Gary, have an even newer version as using 1.1.1 the turn radius seems to make no difference to the track: I certainly do not get the "perfect pushback" demonstrated on Simfest last Friday by starting the turn when the back of the red cross hits the taxiline. I always overshoot (by a lot) no matter what turn radius I set, indeed the travelled turn radius is the same no matter what I select in the EFB.

Incidentally for those struggling with blocked permissions on installing PSX.NET, you can sort out all the dll in all subdirectories in one go by starting Powershell, cd to your desired directory and then "dir -Recurse | Unblock-File". (I say this because the unblock-the-zip trick does not seem to work for me.)

EDIT: Solved - needed the latest Aerowinx.jar

PSX.NET: 1.1.0. Module versions:
Doors: 1.2.0
Ground Services: 1.1.0
Pilots Call Panel: 1.0.0
Weather: 1.0.0
Wind: 1.0.0
...

I downloaded EFB per instructions, but cannot find any of these modules within the PSX.NET.EFB folder. Where should they be located? Is it a separate download?

Aleks

I have issues with the EFB, see the screenshot.

Despite setting the correct email (used on Simfest planning) it will not connect to it.

Also seems the pushback is not working. Hitting turn radius does not do anything, numbers just jump to 490 and then back to 500. No option to start the pushback.

I guess I am missing something obvious, but please help :)

PSX.NET is a separate much older download.

The slightly updated versions of the modules are located upthread if you have a read through. They need to be placed in the Modules subdirectory of PSX.NET

PSX.NET and BACARS both need to be running for full EFB functionality

Make sure you have the very latest Aerowinx.jar

Hey Gary,

I have a question about the EFB Snapshot Landing selection, for some reason when I select any landing option, the sim will take me to that location but does not put me on the correct altitude, it just slams me onto the ground. Do I need to do any configs somewhere?

The client and router for both PSX & MSFS2024 are working correctly, every time I start a flight the sim takes me to the selected airport and gate.

macroflight

I'm trying to run PSX.NET and the EFB on a new computer (so I might well be missing some runtime). Installation method: zip up a working EFB and PSX.NET from a working sim. There is no PSX router involved here, PSX.NET and the EFB connect directly to the PSX main server.

PSX.NET appears to start normally, but when I try to close it (click the upper-right X), I get a popup saying "Unhandled Thread Exception - one or more errors occurred".

The Event Viewer only says "The program PSX.NET version 1.1.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed ...".

PSX.NET appears to be working, I can see the PSX message counter in the blue box being incremented. I can also use the Doors tab in PSX.NET to control the PSX doors and use the Ground Services tab to start pushback.

From the EFB, I can control e.g Ext Pwr 1 (which I think talks to PSX directly), but not control the doors, and not start pushback.

A guess based on the what is working and what is not working: a PSX.NET thread handling the addon= messages has crashed? But why, and how to fix it?

Try this?

And of course you have upgraded your dlls as per your previous posts ?

I think I had already used the C++ runtime installer. But I tried it anyway - ran each installer manually and repaired the installation. Unfortunately it did not help.

The DLLs are the correct versions (copied from the working sim).

I also did a fresh install of the latest public version (without the latest DLLs) from https://aerowinx.com/board/index.php/topic,5808.msg63020.html#msg63020 - after doing the usual unblocking of the DLLs, I can start it, but it fails in the same way.

Additional observation: I can close PSX.NET normally as long as it has not connected to PSX.

I also had this weird behaviour happen with PSX.NET on one of my PC's and could never get to the bottom of it!

Reinstalled Windows (11). Did not install anything except the latest Java 8 to get PSX running. Copied the PSX and PSX.NET installs back. Still the same problem...

Hardware-related, or some component that's not installed?

Gary,

My Malwarebytes showed the following from a scan:

"MachineLearning/Anomalous.97%" for the file "PSX.NET.EFB\PSX.NET.EFB.windows.dll"

I'm guessing it's a false positive but thought I'd let you know.
Grace and Peace,

Bode

Neither, actually. It was that old nemesis, the decimal separator setting in Windows not being ".". Apparently the GroundHandling module in PSX.NET is sensitive to this.

Thanks to Gary for the idea to check this!

I have just downloaded the dll's for groundservices and doors as per the upthread posts, however when I attempt to run psx.net I get a warning about a ui execption as the dll's try to run from a "network source" and should be run in a sandbox.
Does anyone have a full version of PSX.Net with the updated dll's?

Cheers,

That worked! Maybe there was an issue with just replacing the dll's..

DLL issues generally occur on downloaded files having 'mark of the web' applied to them which show they are from an untrusted source.  You can remove this by right clicking properties > Unblock.  There's also a powershell command to do it on all files in a directory.

Get-ChildItem -Path '<YOUR-SOLUTION-PATH>' -Recurse | Unblock-File

Morning,

Couple of updates available Here (overwrite the files in your existing install)

V2.0.0.2
========
-Resized nav bar to return the ability to switch between Navigraph and LIDO
-Ability to change pushback radius and direction using a steering wheel or joystick added ( add <DrivePushbackFromJoystick>true</DrivePushbackFromJoystick> to the config file)
-Fixed bug with pushback radius getting stuck if you had a joystick plugged in

Jamie

Might be pebkac error, but v2.0.0.2 doesn't start. I unblocked the DLLs btw. The Eventvwr says:
