Don't know if anyone else is getting this, but when I attempt to access the forum, it seems to take several seconds to respond.
None of my other regular sites have this issue and I do have 100mbps NBN speed in Sydney.

Just thought I would let you know this has been happening for about four days now.

Cheers,

Thanks for the hint.

Here in Central Europe it's running fast as usual.

Hi,

It may be coincidence, but I just got a mail from my service provider:

QuoteAn operating system update to Debian 12 (Bookworm) was recently rolled out for your server, which also included a minor update for MySQL to 8.0.39. After the maintenance, the MySQL service was down more frequently, which was caused by individual databases on the server. Unfortunately, attempts to repair the affected databases individually did not lead to any lasting improvement. [...] We will downgrade the MySQL version to version 8.0.36 and completely restore all databases on the server to ensure the stability of the databases again.

So there will be maintenance work on 3, 4, 5 DEC 2024 between 21:00 and 06:00 UTC. In one of these time frames this website and the forum may be offline for up to 4 hours.

Hi Alex, Hardy,
Still OK here on the Gold Coast, Central East Coast Australia.

"Completely restore" may mean we revert a few days and lose posts. Did they give a hint back to which date?

Hardy Heinlin

I don't think they'll change our database. It's not even sure if it was affected. Otherwise the mail would be more specific.
