VNAV and Climb: Kinda strange?

I wonder what the climb profile looks like when you graph it over time/distance. Those instantaneous climb rates probably are all over the place compared to the actual profile as apparent from an onlooker outside.

You can see the profile on Instructor > Analysis > Profile in 1:1 ratio. It looks very shallow and smooth.
