Scenic approach with MSFS

If you have MSFS, I'd recommend flying the ILS Z Rwy 11 into PAKT, Ketchikan, Alaska. It's a nice approach with an RF segment, and very scenic. Aim to land around sunset, and use FLCH to get down to 5000 about 5 miles prior to MUSUE. From then on, fly the approach as published.

It's quite scenic, with the airport on Gravina Island and tall mountains on all sides. As you taxi to parking, you can see the waves in the water right next to the airport (you're looking at the northern reach of the Hecate Straight, Gulf of Alaska). Across the water, you can see the town.

If I ever were to demonstrate MSFS and PSX to someone who was interested in seeing what the combination looked like, this is the approach I would fly.

Happy landings!
