Happy to see ITVV has released a digitally remastered version of this cockpit video. Like meeting an old friend , since this video was my first cockpit video I owned. It came on an VHS cassette, bundled with 'Phoenix Simulations Boeing 747-400 professional' for Microsoft Flightsimulator 2000, my first aircraft add-on I ever bought. That was basically the beginning of my 'serious' flightsimming career and quite some time before I became aware of PS1...

Still a great film, if not only for the cockpit view of the checkerboard approach into KaiTak ..

P.S. Hope ITVV will continue to release remastered versions of their other films too..

Meh meh meh this was from before the time they only had 744 freighters left and also before the time all Cathay's 747s had my SATCOM box.

Still waiting for somebody to show off my handiwork   :-p

I always ask Capt. Obet* to make B744F movie, and not B748! See, indirectly, I want to show you hard work. :-)

BTW, I have DVD of the ITVV. It is quite enjoyable to watch.

The satLINK is actually on all Cathay 747s, both 744 and 748. The 748 went without a hitch, the 744 required some software fixing as it has the stone age Honeywell Mk II CMU which is very unforgiving to small timing issues unlike the Collins CMU-900 on the -8. I did all of that over Covid, remotely ... never set a foot aboard any of these beasts yet (and neither their A330s which also have satLINK). Only their 777s I saw a lot from the inside. Too much... I hate AIMS  :-p
