FD Bars on LAND3

Good evening

Watching this video I noticed at about 12:40
when LAND3 and Rollout/Flare are announced on the fma
the FD's are removed from view, and when the AP is off, then
they reappear as normal, never seen this behaviour in any of the PSX 744
configuration I have, is that normal ?

Good morning,

this must be the old UAL option "No F/D if A/P on same source" in PSX on Model > Programming under "PFD".

It works like in that video.

LAND 3 engages CMD L and CMD R which are on the same sources as the FDs on both sides. CMD C solo is not on the same source.

Boeing refers to the option as either "Part-time" or "Full-time" flight director.

ANA also had this on the -400 fleet, Centre autopilot being used for normal ops so both pilots kept their FD's.
