Terrain display issue.

I'm running the latest version 10.172 on a macbook air M2 but noticed recently that the terrain display no longer works, only showing 004 as highest terrain and no display on the ND. I've swapped to an older navigation database but no joy, same results.

Is the terrain database tied with the navigation database?

I seem to remember an option on previous version about rebuilding data after relocating the aircraft but can't seem to find this option anymore.

There are 3 terrain database files is in the subfolder Aerowinx/Terrain/.

Do they exist in your system? If they don't exist, you'll see 004 everywhere.

In that folder there may also be optional database files for the global magnetic variation. Did you delete them (which is allowed) and accidentally delete the terrain files too?

I've got awAntarctic.terrain and awArctic.terrain in that folder only.Both 58.3 mbs each.

Hardy Heinlin

You also need awGlobal.terrain which is 1.87 GB in size.

Thanks for the replies Hardy, unfortunatly I cannot find that one. What are my options?

Hardy Heinlin

Do you still have the DVD or your old intact Aerowinx folder on another computer?
