I don't think there is any existing addon for that. For VATSIM use you can install a vPilot plugin that will cause vPilot to send the 7 closest VATSIM plane positions to PSX (where they will be displayed as TCAS blibs).

Hi Gary,

I'll need to do a bit more testing, but there appears to be an issue where if Router fails to connect to the boost server, it will make an endless number of main client connections.

Does anyone knows why when the MSFS window is becoming  the "active" window then the plane in MSFS is all over the place and the FPS in PSX are going down to single digits with super jerky motion?

Jeroen Hoppenbrouwers

Probably because the focus window in Windows gets priority and MSFS then thinks it is allowed to absorb 99% of the CPU's capacity for itself to give you the best possible user experience. This means that PSX and all the mechanisms between PSX and MSFS get nothing and go hopelessly out of sync.

Totally out of sync. It takes a couple of seconds only and then chaos.

FlyItLikeYouStoleIt

There are ways round this, eg restricting the number of cores MSFS is allowed to use.

EDIT: or maybe not, as it may relate more to hogging the GPU than the CPU.

I'll need to do a bit more testing, but there appears to be an issue where if Router fails to connect to the boost server, it will make an endless number of main client connections.

David

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start PSX, start main server, but don't start boost server
2. Start Router

At this point router will make a new connection to the main server (manifested as a new client disconnect button in the main server tab of the instructor panel) every 3-4 seconds.

This only happens while the boost server isn't running... obvious solution is to start the boost server given that that is what you are going to want any way. Once boost server is started, all of the superfluous main server clients disappear and only the one entry remains.

I should also note for Hardy more generally that when clients hang, this can also cause the PSX instance running as "main server" to also hang. I guess this happens because the network buffers fill up? It would make the main server instance more robust if clients were forcefully disconnected in this condition.

David,

Yep a known issue - I always set PSX to start with boost server so it doesn't tend to cause any issues.

I might look to fix it if I do some updates for MSFS2024 after world flight.

Cheers

Thanks macroflight, will try this out.

Hi

Not sure if this can be done but would it be possible to add a VC to the plane model or just a window? It would be nice to see rain effect. Is this possible?

Thanks

GodAtum

Anyone else having an issue with the taxi light? The landing and strobe lights work but my taxi light doesn't. I have pressed CTRL + E but that doesn't seem to help.

Thanks

Gary, I think you actually implemented taxi lights, see https://aerowinx.com/board/index.php/topic,6860.msg77314.html#msg77314

The taxi light works for me if I use a PSX airframe that has a taxi light switch.

GodAtum: is it possible you're not using the latest Router, Client or WASM plane?

Yeah I downloaded the latest from the links at the start of the thread. I am using the BA livery so maybe I need to choose another one?

I use the BA livery G-CIVB and the taxi light work on that one (but probably on other liveries too, I know it works on e.g GTI/N499MC).

I would try downloading the WASM module again just to make sure you really have the latest version.

With MSFS shut down:

- Remove PSX.NET.MSFS.WASM_V10 from your MSFS Community folder
- Start PSX.NET.MSFS.Client. It should now complain about "WASM Module out of date and we failed to update it". This is a good sign - the PSX.NET.MSFS.WASM_V10 directory you removed was the correct one.
- Download the WASM plane again from the first post in this thread
- Unpack the downloaded ZIP and place PSX.NET.MSFS.WASM_V10 in the community folder
- Start PSX.NET.MSFS.Client. It should now say "Your WASM Module was updated. ..."

You should now have the latest version and no remnants of older versions.

You can also check that you have the latest PSX.NET.MSFS.Router version (should say "V10.3.0") and PSX.NET.MSFS.Client version (V10.1.1). If not, download from the first post in thie thread.

Thanks, that's seemed to work. Another question, should I be getting TCAS traffic on MSFS AI traffic or FTSL?

I only fly on Vatsim and the Vatsim shows on TCAS.
Grace and Peace,

If you fly offline then RealTraffic will inject live traffic into PSX and PSXTraffic will transfer that to MSFS. RealTraffic is a subscription though. I am not aware of anything that will pull traffic from MSFS and inject it into PsX, though that would be useful.
