Flight director bars are missing

Hi,

I have a very interesting problem.
On the FO side the FD bars are missing.

No malfunction, FD switch on, FD label on PFD is visible, have roll and pitch mode, but no magenta lines at all.

What can be wrong?

Hi,

this is an airline option (for UAL, I think).

I conclude, your situation is this:

"CMD R" is engaged
F/O's FLT DIR source selector is set to "R"
Instructor > Model > Programming, under "PFD": Checkbox "No F/D if A/P on same source" is selected.

Hey,

I reckon, as there's no CMD annunciation on the FMA, the F/D selection on MCP is simply deselected by the respective side, while the other is turned on.

Double checked the Checkbox "No F/D if A/P on same source" is selected.
It is not selected. (Good idea btw, thankyou)

The FLT DIR is set to R.
Both FD switches are ON.

The left (Capt) side is perfect.

Another way to remove the right FD from the PFD is to turn off the right IRU.
