RTE DATA > Wind request: timing?

I noticed that loading the wind forecast data via LEGS > RTE DATA is taking a much shorter amount of time than before. When I used to load winds, it would take many seconds for the winds to load on a long flightplan. Now, all the data is there within 1-2 seconds, and the EXEC light illuminates promptly.

Is there anything I might have done to make this happen? Time acceleration is OFF. Does the weather checkbox for "Set zones by flight track and downloaded METARs" make a difference here?

Update: I think I tried to load the winds before setting the cruise altitude. The imported FMC altitudes were all pretty low. Re-doing it after setting the initial altitude as FL330 got it back to the expected behavior.
