Corridor (Maybe when not to use?)

Hi All,
I'm just reflying a very short flight - Rhodes to Athens.
I've configured the wx zones manually for dept and arrival - they overlap.
As this is a short hop, I've set crz alt to FL230.
When I flew this in another sim, I decided the impact of the upper winds would be insignifcant and so was not too bothered about entering into the other sims FMGC - same here in PSX.
I've entered a corridor the nearest waypoint to my flight level is "PIDAX 280 359/054 -44"
I usually just use the first notch of the variation setting in the corridor.
I think the corridor is still in play as I can see winds are 358/48 with a SAT of -34 so I assume PSX here is interpolating the corridor downwards? Is that correct?
Thanks
Carl

Hi Carl,

PSX interpolates the corridor wind/OAT at the lowest corridor altitude with the local surface wind/OAT. The interpolation is smooth -- horizontally and vertically.

When you don't use the corridor, the surface wind/OAT will be interpolated with the tropopause wind/OAT set on the Planet page.
