I have the same issues, only Cabin chime works, Im using Gary's EFB, Great app, but non of the cabin calls or announcements in v2  work.

Not sure if a different setup needs to be done or how can we get it to work.

Chears,

I don't think that this problem could be solved by a different setup within PSXsound, because there aren't many options in the GUI. If the software is successfully connected with the sim and the status is shown inside PSXsound then there should some interaction between.

For this I would like to test the older version of PSXsound if there could be a way to receive it.

Gary, thank you in advance. Would be great if we could be able to use your newest version.

As requested before, any chance to re-activate your link to the previous, older version ? Would like to try out meanwhile, as some of the user have a good experience with this.

Issue found with missing sounds - download and extract all the files in here into a new folder and all should work again.

Installed the latest version yesterday. It definitely makes more sounds than before. :)

Does anyone have some notes on how to make PSX stop making the sounds that PSX Sounds 2.0 does? E.g the ground crew.

Find in Aerowinx/Audio/Basics/

pb1.wav
pb2.wav
pb3.wav
pb4.wav

Rename them to:

pb1-OFF.wav
pb2-OFF.wav
etc.

Thanks! I think those were the only ones that were duplicated by PSX.Sounds 2.0. Pushback sounds much better now.

What are the "realistic" settings for ordinary sim setup - 1 screen, both PSX and MSFS running on same PC, standard desktop speakers, and headphones for VATSIM/ATC communication.

All sliders are set to 0 when I loaded PSX Sounds.

Thanks!

There are still some sounds missing from the Interfones Calls tab: "Boarding Music", "Boarding PA", "Safety Demo", "Airborne PA" and "After Landing PA".

But I have a solution! Download this file  and unzip into your PSXSounds\Sounds directory. These files will play in a loop until you press "STOP PA" (but why would you want to?)

All,

I'm testing PSX Sounds, other incredible add-on by Gary.

However, I'm a bit confused because I don't know where to put the foders and files of PSX Sounds into PSX, in order to work correctly. In other words, I don't know if they have to be copied exactly into the PSX 'Audio' folder or if they are played directly from the add-on itself.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Javier,

I simply created a PSXSounds sub folder inside my Aerowinx main folder just to have everything in one place. I don't think that that's even a requirement. It was as simple as unzipping and moving the whole folder into Aerowinx's main directory.

I believe that placement doesn't matter.

Mariano,

Thank you for your help. So I assume that in the simulator some sounds will be played directly by PSX and others using the PSX Sounds add-on, depending on personal preference.

If so, I understand that on the Instructor>Preferences>Audio page the sounds played by this add-on must be unchecked or the files renamed as Hardy suggested in this thread.

If this is correct, then I understand everything.
