Hi,

Using 10.132 with the latest version of Java for Windows 8.1 64 bits, the loading process now stops at 31%... altough it used to work fine the days before ...

Any idea folks ?

Thanks,

Hi Eric,

after 31% comes the sound system start.

What is displayed in Aerowinx/Logs/errors.txt?

Did you change anything in your sound system?

Did you change anything in the Aerowinx/Interfaces folder?

Do you start with AerowinxStart.jar?

Here is the error.txt = chinese to me ...

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException

I did not proceed to any change in my system... but updates for W8 and Java may have occurred in the meantime...

And I start the Simulator through AerpwinxStart.jar...

Well, this error is not a sound problem; it's a problem with the image loader when PSX tries to load picture files from the Aerowinx/Visuals folder. This loading phase too starts after 31%, but it has never caused any problem in the past 10 years, i.e. it's so basic that I didn't even mention it.

Actually, this can only happen if you manually changed any default files or subfolders within your Aerowinx folder -- or if there's a bug in your Java version. What Java version is it?

Or did you copy your Aerowinx folder to another computer using an USB stick, and the stick didn't contain all Aerowinx files?

Just for a test: If you re-install your original Aerowinx DVD on your computer (in a separate folder, without overwriting your existing Aerowinx folder), will that start?

Grovenor

Hi again,

I restinstalled the Simulator from the DVD and it works again ... but I need to reinstall updates and add-ons.

Thank you for helping.

Eric
