Hi Beat,
when you save situation XY while the checkbox "Set zones by flight track and downloaded METARs" is selected, the checkbox will be autoselected whenever you reload situation XY. This checkbox is a situational variable, hence it's selection is stored in situ files.
When this checkbox is selected, real-world weather from the Internet will be downloaded into PSX circa every 30 minutes. When PSX uses real-world weather, PSX also requires real-world time. It wouldn't be plausible if PSX were to simulate a winter weather while the sim time is set to a summer day, for example. To avoid this mismatch, PSX automatically sets real-world time whenever the above mentioned checkbox is selected. It doesn't matter whether it's selected manually or by situ file loading. -- However, once it is selected and the sim time is automatically reset, you can manually reset the sim time with the sliders on the Time page. But that won't make sense.
When you want to set the sim time manually, you should deselect the real-world weather function.
Situ files that have been stored while that checkbox was deselected, will always deselect that checkbox upon file loading, and thus will always start with the sim time stored in the situ file.
