Hello all,

I can't load PSX. Most distressing. Hangs at 12% on splash screen. I'm on version 10.129. Any help appreciated...

Hardy Heinlin

Hello,

what has changed on your computer?

New Mac OSX version?

New Windows version?

What text is indicated in the file Aerowinx/Logs/errors.txt?

Which file do you click, AerowinxStart.jar or Aerowinx.jar?

Let me get back to you tomorrow Hardy. I'm sure this is pilot error. Ive been installing/uninstalling  some other flight sims and plugging in/unplugging new yokes and joysticks. I also updated Java thinking that might help but no joy. One thing I did notice last time PSX started was that I had no sound, but after a system restart it was all normal. I'll get back to you tomorrow...

Hardy - this is the errors file:

Thanks. Do you start with AerowinxStart.jar?

What's in the file Aerowinx/Preferences/Default.pref?

Darksidedriver

Thanks Hardy  And yes I open the program with AerowinxStart.jar.

Here is the file:

Hardy, I may have solved the problem. I disconnected the last installed hardware (A Thrustmaster HOTAS assembly) and now PSX starts normally. Weird but it probably makes sense to you  ;D. Thanks for your attention so far.

Hardy Heinlin

I think the "USB=..." text line contained data that didn't match the connected USB hardware. But such errors are caught and won't crash PSX. Anyway, I guess the start-up crash was related to a USB hardware problem. Glad to read it's solved now. Cheers.

Yes me too! I'm writing a spring sim session and use PSX to run the session in real time to set time markers etc.
