Hi all,
I just upgraded my PC from W7 ultimate to W10.
Tried to run PSX and what happen is this:
Loading screen stop at 31%
A yellow screen appear with this message: Please double-click on AerowinxStart.jar to start the simulator.

This after double clicking on AerowinxStart.jar file

PSX is installed on another drive (E), not in the one where I installed W10.(C)
Same drive designation as in W7..
Any idea why ?
Thanks.

Do you have any USB devices plugged in (EG gaming mice, yokes, etc) if so disconnect them and run PSX. If it works then turn off USB detection in the instructors panel then reattach your USB devices.... WIndows 10 has issues with USB drivers, make sure you find and install the latest for each device...

Hi Alex,
thanks for the help.
Unfortunately, even with all USB devices unplugged, the problem is still there.
Maybe it might be a good idea to do a clean install of PSX I guess ?...what's the best and easiest way to do it, in a way to avoid all the steps from 10.0.0 to 10.128 ?

I was already at version 10.128.
Thanks
Aris

Hi,

If I recall correctly, when PSX stops loading or freezes at 31%, it points to an issue with the soundcard. Is the soundcard working normally? You can try to disable the soundcard in the device manager and restart PSX to find out if that's the cause.

Good luck,
Dirk

Hi Dirk !
YES !! It work !!
Thanks a lot my friend !!  :D

I thought that Windows 10 would upgrade the necessary drivers of the various hardware automatically... I was wrong !
After installing the soundcard drivers, PSX start magnificently.
Thanks !
