Hold Speed after G/A

Hi Hardy,

Just practising some approaches and i've noticed the commanded hold speed is using the best hold speed rather than whats programmed. Not too much of a big deal, is it a bug or is that just how the 744 does it?



I'm expecting it to fly at 227 knots but it keeps reverting to 224 knots crz which is coincidentally the best hold speed.

To add I've been entering higher speeds 230 - 240 - 250 on the VNAV and HOLD page to see if it will change but with the MCP SPD window closed its not possible to increase the speed.



It's entirely possible it's my problem as i'm not going by the book here.

This is normal on the 744. Shortly before the hold and within the hold the FMC commands the best hold speed. You can only override it by using MCP SPD.
