Which airlines use Fahrenheit?

Started by Hardy Heinlin, Thu, 21 May 2020 20:25

Hardy Heinlin

Good evening,

Fahrenheit values can be entered in the FMC on the THRUST LIM page; -- in the NG FMC also on the TAKEOFF REF pages for the assumed temperature on page 1 and the REF OAT on page 2.

This is not a customer option but a generally valid entry format. Just enter a number with the suffix F.

Has anyone ever used Fahrenheit in the real FMC?

No, I did not know you could enter F.

I have never seen any other entry for any Airline other than degrees C...

But now I will try it to see, interesting...

Same here. We always use C.

Likewise, no Fahrenheit.

No Fahrenheit in the US since METARs went from the SA/FT standard to the METAR standard
