FSUIPC5 and WideFS7

So, I bought these tools a while back but never really dug into them.  However, I think as I acquire more dedicated avionics suites, they may be useful.  Are these tools of any use with PSX and if so, can you point me to some examples? 
I need to read the manual of FSUIPC5 but wideFS7 seems to be able to run related programs over the network without an additional copy of P3D having to be installed.
