I've elected to _start_the APU when I do my Lights, Camera, Action(s) on leaving the runway, I then connect it while doing my after landing checklist. I'm guessing this isn't optimal but at least I won't miss it!

I assume from Peter's input that it normally just runs for a few minutes - from a couple of minutes before arriving at the stand to when ground power is connected (this is the case on startup anyway)?

More questions:

When do people do the After Landing Checklist? I do it when taxying in - any thoughts on that?
