Worldflight 2010: PICKS is here!

Greetings!

PICKS (or, for short, the PS1 Intimate Cockpit Knowledge Self-test) celebrates the Tenth Anniversary of the Worldflights, which once every year circle the globe in various simulators, and support worthy charities with this brave feat, by collecting donations from participants and spectators.

PICKS is offered as a small token of gratitude and as a souvenir of the event to all those who have donated to Worldflight Australia, Worldflight UK, or any other Worldflight, and have thus helped the charities.

(Non-donors need not apply, thank you.    )

Note that PICKS is perfectly suitable also for non-PS1 pilots. It will be just a wee bit more challenging for them...

With PSX already dawning on the horizon, PICKS will without doubt and in due time become a genuine Collector's Item.
So, after making a donation to a Worldflight, have a look and get PICKS here.

Cheers,
Martin

Hi Martin,
i'm trying to get this PICKS going. (I've made a donation obviously). I open the read me file and it tells me to "click here to play". But then safari tells me it can't find the file.

What am I doing wrong. I'm totally useless with this sort of stuff. I can click on something but anything more complicated tends to baffle me completely.

Regards, Jeroen

Likely it helps if you first extract the archive file to separate files in a folder somewhere.

Hello Jeroen,
Quote from: Jeroen DI open the read me file and it tells me to "click here to play".
This sounds as if you got hold of the wrong Readme file, viz. "Readme_original.html" which is from the 10 year old Jigsaw distribution (and was included mainly for license reasons). The links in that file will not work offline (and on the original web site, which is still there, they will start the original Jigsaw, not the PICKS modification).

What you should read (after unpacking the ZIP file into any folder) is the file "!_ReadMe_PICKS.html" which contains the up-to-date instructions for PICKS.

Sorry for the confusion. Hope you get it to work now.
Have fun.

And thanks for donating!

Cheers,
Martin
