PS1.3 rushing air and avionics fans.

Hi,

I have always wanted to be able to hear the sound of avionics fans and air rushing through vents in PS1.3's flight deck while preparing the flight for departure (with engines OFF, of course.)

Sorry about the primitive nature of what follows, but I thought of copying a sound file from a FS2004 add-on aircraft (used to simulate background cockpit noise) and playing it in the background (in Windows Media Player) with the "repeat" function turned on.

The problem is that once the sound file reaches its end (only a few seconds long) I can hear a brief interruption until it starts again (not very realistic.)

Does anyone know of a way of editing (or playing) a sound file so that it stays ON uninterrupted until commanded OFF?

I even tried pretending that my laptop CPU fan noise was the noise itself, but it is too quiet.

Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated as well.

As you can see, I am not very computer savvy ;-)

Hey Mariano,

what file type is the sound file? Which version of Media Player are you using? Maybe you should check if the sound file has a short pause at the beginning. Freeware sound editors are available anywhere on the net. As Google seems to be down, I can't look up some for you ...

Yes, Mariano, for some reason Windows Media Player seems
incapable of looping audio seamlessly.

I suggest you try WinAmp:
http://www.winamp.com/media-player/download/en

Just download the free version. Works for me !

If there is still a hic-cup in the looped sound, then
probably the audio file needs editing.  Please let us know.
