Outside view problem

Hi,
  I've PSX installed on a server PC showing instruments only. Other PCs act as clients displaying FSX outside views. I set up a situation cold and dark at a gate at Heathrow airport. When I start PSX and VisualPSX  the outside views are correct but after a few minutes, while I'm starting up the aircraft, the outside views suddenly change to a closeup of the ground. I'd appreciate any help. I may doing something stupid.
