My thanks to everyone who was involved and/or donated this Worldflight.

I was particularly happy to receive my award...

Hardy Heinlin

Which apparently also includes the "Mark Twain" award ... :-)

(... for the excellent adventure stories?)

;D

It's supposed to be an Albert Einstein mask but perhaps the realism leaves something to be desired...

Even I (with a degree in physics) recognize it doesn't look like Einstein but rather like ...   you know who.

... or like Twain's doppelgänger Albert Schweitzer ...

... ALL three of whom smoked a pipe (mostly full bent Peterson's)... which as a pipe collector begs the question.... do you smoke a pipe as well Hardy?

Back to Worldflight. I have flown several legs with PSX and the sometimes quiet cruise segments just barely compensate for the hardships that PSX the Worldflight environment (weather, traffic, ...) has thrown at me

- Predictive Windshear alert on takeoff (2x, e.g. at Taipeh)
- Predictive Windshear alert followed by actual windshear on short final at Algiers with subsequent go-around.
- Dual Engine Failure / Surge on takeoff from Kangerlussuaq (BGSF) with -15°C, blowing snow and critical terrain nearby.
- Hard TCAS RA (traffic 12 o'clock 1 mile, climbing through my level), expertly handled by PSX with RA reversal.
- two times I could not start the engines, turned out my plane was wrecked with malfunctions (maybe other traffic parking with overlap)...
In-Flight cockpit video recording for analysis available.  :)

What a magnificent event - and a pleasure to fly with PSX.

I quitted smoking 20 years ago.
