Wath is the best option to run PSX on 4 monitors

Hi,

I want to run PSX on 4 monitors,
Monitor 1 , 24" displays cpt clock,PFD and ND at 1920x1080
Monitor 2  , 15", displays upper EICAS  at 1024 x768
Monitor 3 , 15" , displays lower EICAS. At 1024x768
Monitor 4 , 7" , displays the  left CDU
I can run one instance of PSX stretching  over 3 monitors with 1 GPU and run monitor 4 on a second card .
However , since the resolution is different between the 24 and 15" monitors this means that the image on the 15" screens is  larger than the screens height.
Does this have a negative impact on the framerates?

Or is it better to run 3 instances each dedicated to it's own  monitor?
In the last scenario  is there an impact on the framerate  because  the CPU  has to run PSX 3 times?

Hi Ivo,

there is no standard rule regarding frame rates; every system is different. If you already own these monitors, you just need to test the differences yourself with your devices. I guess, multiple PSX instances are often better than a single stretched instance. But your milage may vary.

Hi Hardy
Thanks,
I guess I wil have to test it, i will have all the hardware tommorow

Tip:
For frame rate tests use a scenario that generates continuous attitude motion, e.g. the Thessaloniki turbulence situ.

Ivo,

As Hardy says, it is difficult to make pertinent predictions, but if your machine has sufficient memory to comfortably host three running PSX instances, very likely the CPU won't even blink at it.

Hi Jeroen and Hardy,
Thanks!
I forgot something, I can run the 3 screens at  71 frames, no problem.
But to display the lower EICAS it has to be at  his own instance, otherwise I can  not position it correctely
The upper part( clocks,PFD,ND and upper EICAS ) can be positioned by dividing the screen in 2 with the green bars.
