Very nice, a few tactical- operational comments:
a. Tactical and strategic aircraft do not fly in close formation in either operational or training missions, daytime. Above 1500 AGL, for air-ground attack, area defense, photo reconnaisance and similar missions, both 2 aircraft (section) and 4 aircraft (division) combat formations are flown in defense formation, essentially a line abreast with the latereal separation being a function of airspeed, typically 1/4 to 1/2 mile (in hi-altitude photo- reconnaisance much wider, typically 5-10nm, depending on camera coverage). Air intercept missions are flown in attack formation, where numbers 1 and 3 fly the same as above, and numbers 2 and 4 are on the outside at 30-45 degree angle and 100-150 meters from 1 and 3. Below 1500 feet AGL, aircraft fly in low altitude tactical formation, a combination of the above, while the leader is lowest, the backward angle is a function of terrain. The type of formation determines turning technique, different also for normal, steep and break turns.
Aircraft carrying external stores should never perform formation takeoffs, due to the implications of takeoff refusal and the common use of safety nets. Such situation can result from a blown tyre or engine failure.
b. Flying at the heights above terrain and speeds shown during attack passes, is unlikely to yield desired results. First, due to the human difficulty in maintaining safe separation from the ground, especially above flat and relatively uniform cover. One of the best pilots I knew, flew such mission in the mid 60s where 100 feet AGL was the defined minimum, I flew the rescue mission, and found his Mirage IIIC debris spread over a mile. Secondly, because near the flat terrain shown, radar guided air defense systems common from the 1970s are effective against the attackers. Therefore alternate attack methods were developed 40 years ago for such scenarios.

Thank you for your explanations Zinger but this video in summer only realized to share a pleasant moment  ;)
