thank you for your quick reply. But does it means that the new Database contains new departure routes for other  airports? Or contains it only the waypoints and airways etc.?

The new DB contains new procedures if available. For sure I can tell you there are new STARs, TRANSs and APPs for TLV/LLBG in this DB.

I don't know if it has to do with the new Nav Database, but today when I installed it and checked it is being correctly identified in the MCDU and in the Instructor Menu, I started the default

"03 Approach 008 - Chicago - Crosswind gusts" situation and the aircraft is completely misaligned with which RW32R, which is supposed the one in the ILS auto-tune, and in the ND.

Switching from Map to ILS mode shows the localizer is not even being intercepted ?

The real-world Chicago airport began to use that ILS frequency for another runway. PSX uses the real-world navigation database, so the old PSX Chicago situ file has the aircraft positioned for one runway, with the ILS tuned for another runway. One obvious fix would be to reposition the aircraft using the Instructor Page and then overwrite the old situ.

Actually, when looking at the Airport information in the Instructor page we can see freq 110.75 belongs to both 28L (IVQX) and 32R (IIDN). This is probably an error. In this situation we can see IVQX on the PFD while the heading in the NAV RAD page is for IIDN hence the (PSX) confusion.
Even if the situation file is not updated, I don't think there should be the same freq for 2 runways.

The published approach plates show both 28L and 32R using 110.75, so that's not an error.

The IVQX-28L plate is newer (updated in October 2015, after the last PSX navigation data update), while the IIDN-32L plate hasn't been changed since March of 2012.

PSX can handle two ILS stations of the same frequency if their courses are opposite to each other. KORD has lots of them. PSX chooses the nearest station.

Regrettably, 28L and 32R are just 40° off, and 28L is closer on the 32R final. So PSX chooses the 28L station.

It's the first time I experience such a close pair. In real life they certainly activate just one station at a time.

A sim based automatic pseudo-solution would be to couple the radio wave model with the FMC entry; it will not work when the FMC is not used.

The ILS malfunction feature is of no help either.

It didn't have the "problem" with the previous 2 databases because that change was probably done recently according to Will ...

In the sim -- big or small -- only a manual deactivation of that undesired ILS station can solve the problem.

If such effects occur more often in the future (hopefully not), I need to add some special switches on the Instructor screens and make some modifications in the system and network (a lot of boring redesign work just for this peanut).

These ILS changes at KORD were not in the last year's database.

IMO, it is really not an issue...

Better concentrate on the other ( many ) objectives always in your TODO list Hardy...

It's actually an interestinc challenge, and I just discovered it because I ususally pick that situation, a modified version without any malfunctions enabled, and use it to profit from the uinique weather ( and flight dynamics ) PSX provides, most of the time to show it to someone.

When I installed the 1603 cycle I had a colleague who happens to be an Airbus pilot visiting us, so, I decided to give him a taste of a 744 :-)   He was amazed :-)

Also a success at Langen ATC center, when I was in a course there in November 2014. They have ELITE FNPTs in the simulator room, and while visiting it I decided to show them PSX - they didn't know it existed, and even less it was created by a compatriot :-)
