8 x 46 minute tv series  Ice Pilots
Better than Ice Truckers

Mate,

Just like flying freight day and night in the Queenair - except for the extreme cold and snow. Gotta pull the aircraft out onto the line, fuel it, pull out or put in the seats, clean it, change the oil and filters on the tarmac, help the engineers with repairs in the hangar, load and unload the freight, etc, etc. Oh, and eventually you get to spend a little bit of time actually flying, carefully listening to the piston engines, and closely monitoring the gauges. Pneumatic, non-electronic auto-pilot, all "steam-driven" gauges and basic radios and navaids.

Man, that series is amazingly close to what we did in Queenairs. I can assure everyone that there is no bulls***t or over dramatisation in "Ice Pilots" about what goes on in piston engine charter. Single engine approaches with an engine that won't feather? Yep, ops normal.
