Just one?!

Ok, make it 2 copies, that brings Hardy's total orders of PSX up to 4 copies.
See, it is worth 3 years of working on PSX and 5 years on PS13

Hardy,
you are an exceptionally gifted artiste!  :)

Hardy's panels look BETTER than the original.  Maybe Boeing will offer him payments for improving their panels!

Can't wait for the release of PSX!  In the meantime, it is very inspiring to see an occasional preview.
Best wishes,

Phil Bunch

Well done Hardy...outstanding job.

Ps: Is it just my monitor color profile messed up all of a sudden, or the color of the boxed STD is indeed incorrect?

cheers,
delcom

Hi, Delcom.
The brightness of the LCD has been turned down, giving the STD a darker look. It is more yellow when the LCD brightness is higher ; )

Cheers.

P.S. The FMC and the ACARS systems are not yet modelled. The centre CDU is filled with random text (please ignore) ; )

Thanks, all.

Yes, the color tones and stroke widths depend on the voltage output of the respective brightness control system.

As I´m a big fan of cockpits and panels which "have a life",
do you think there is a demand for some "wear and tear"
like some scratches and marks like in a real 10 year old 74?
Or will the panel look like "fresh out of Seattle"?

I know it´s a matter of taste - and i will buy a copy anyway
(Matt, total order now: 5 copies)... ;)

Regards and thanks,

Timo

(sorry, if this has been asked already)
Drückst Du den Knüppel nach vorn, werden die Häuser größer, wenn Du den Knüppel ziehst, werden sie kleiner. Dies gilt nur, wenn Du den Knüppel nicht dauernd ziehst, dann werden die Häuser auch größer.

Timo, I want a brand new 747 not an old one, no dirt no scratches ;-)

It's like with stone washed Jeans. They come out of the factory, brandnew, but look as if they have been having a "life" for 20 years, as if they had a personal identity, as if each Jeans would have its own long life story.

But there is no life, no story, no identity in that brandnew Jeans. The scratches are factory made. The scratches don't tell a story.

Many music instruments, nowadays, also get this artificial vintage look. The scratches are all factory made. In my opinion, it looks ridiculous. On my guitar, it's 31 years old, every sratch is a true scratch and every scratch has its own true story.

Unfortunately your PSX panel will never get the chance to "earn" real scratches
like your jeans and your guitar...
But a brandnew plane is absolutely o.k. for me, too!
(I´ve flown enough worn-out planes - the cessna on the avatar is build 1976  :? )
Thanks for your answers.

Hi Timo,

this age is quite normal vor 172s and 182s. As far as I remember, our 182s in EDQC are build in 1978, the "youngest" 172 in 1980.

But they all had some overhaul within the last years and inside they look quite new.

In an earlier post in the old forum it is said, that you should be able to add your "own dirt and coffee spots" on the bitmaps.  ;)

I personally prefer a brandnew and clean cockpit Especially if the new PSX is my private 747

Hello Peter,

thanks for your answer.
I'm just 20 min away from you in
Herzogenaurach EDQH.
I like your airfield, especially
the approach passing the "Burg".

Thank you all for your opinions...

Looking amazing Hardy!  Since 2010 is coming soon, do you guys think I should wait till PSX comes out to learn the 744 inside out or start with the PS1?  Also, I'm not sure if it was published anywhere but is there any idea how much PSX will cost at release?  As a college student, I hope it doesn't put too much of a dent in my account :P

No doubt: start with PS1 today. It will be an immense help no matter what you do or when PSX hits the shelves. PS1 is overwhelming to most first-time users; PSX probably even more so.

Hi Timo,

yes the airfield is very nice. It has been a long time ago, when I was in "herzog". A guy from the "Luftamt Nord" always started the PPL A checkflights from there  ;)

I live near WÜ, but I never changed the Aero Club  8)

At the time  when PSX is released you'll be a rich Professor :-)
