Not a good commentary on the state of US commuter airlines, or at least not on the state of this airline and this crew.  Aggressively fighting the stick shaker isn't "good form".

US commuter airline pay is so low and the work hours so long, perhaps it's surprising that there aren't more accidents.  

Is the situation any better in Europe, Australia, or elsewhere?
