Hey all,

is there by chance anybody using PFPX in a Linux environment? I am using Xubuntu 14.04 and have some programs running fine with wine, also TOPCAT! But PFPX refuses to start due to the missing DLL "mfc100.dll" ... I did not find a cure for that, vcrun2012 won't install under wine. Is there a way to import the DLL files manually? I don't have a windows installation available for that, unluckily. The sites where one can download missing DLLs are not trustworthy at all. Is there anybody with the same problems?

Cheers
Dennis

Wine is only a very small subset of windows. PFPX use a lot of windows stuff, what wine do not support.

So your only solution to use this application would by, to run a real virtual maschine with windows. There is no other solution, I guess.

There also some VMs for free like VirtualBox. But you need a Windows license for sure.

Maybe there is some simular application as a web application?

Thanks a lot - I installed Windows 7 in a VirtualBox, now PFPX is up and running fine. Maybe really the best solution. TOPCAT is running great under Wine, anyways.
