VisualPSX and Weather Injection....

I noticed, the last time I used VisualPSX with the option for weather to be injected from PSX into FSX ON that most of the times the weather was updated all of a sudden on short finals. I could be in perfect CAVOK and then, all of a sudden, near the rw threshold, the real weather in PSX, sometimes low visibility, turbulence, rain, thunders... became active...

Could the Global Weather approach be followed instead, affecting always all weather stations around the present aircraft position ?

Hi José,

I can find no reason why that should happen. VisualPSX updates the FSX weather only when PSX sends fresh weather data. It receives weather data from the seven PSX weather zones. This allows users to set the weather at and around an airport to whatever they want.

For instance you could set up an approach to YSSY 34L and set the PSX weather for YSSY to clear skies and also set the weather for nearby YSRI to storms. On approach you would then see the storms over YSRI in the distance.

Cheers,
Garry
