Just for fun, I'm runing PS1 with 747IPC on my new HP Mini Netbook, WinXP.

Works a treat and the screen res is spot on :)

Hi Jeroen,

Yes. Just the standard installer.

What I like about it is the screen res is correct. On my old Dell laptop, I get a border each side of the screen (when in full screen mode).

On the little netbook, it fills the screen.

And now I can easily take it around to show off  Hardy's masterpiece to others!

Guess I'm trying very hard to amuse myself whilst waiting for PSX !

Cheers,

Paul. :)

What is the pixel res of this HP netbook? An exact multiple of 640x480 perhaps?

PaulT

Hi Jeroen,

It's screen res is 1024 x 576

Some laptops have automatic hardware-based interpolation of DOS-like screens, making PS1 automatically run in full screen.  One HP laptop I had a few years ago ran this way, with no extra effort on my part.

Other PCs seem to run DOS at whatever pixels it generates, creating the black border issue and a screen image that is physically too small to be maximally enjoyed.  It may depend on the video card or chip setup, too.
Best wishes,
