Dear Gentlemen,
Does any of you tried to re-install his PS 1.3 on a more up-to-date system while using Windows 7 ? I tried and was succesfull making use of XP.
But the same I tried it again on another system making use of Woindows 7.
I got the message "This system does not support fullscreen mode".
What ever it means, I was surprised about all the "solutions" of Microsoft, but none turned out to be helpfull.  Visited the gaming world for the same reason, but again no results.
Does anyone of you recognize my failure ?

I seem to remember this being an issue.  An older laptop w/ XP would be perfect and you can save the new one for PSX.............

And if I recall, PS1 and FS9 can't be run together on the same computer right?

Jeroen Hoppenbrouwers

Correct. Both programs like to have their own machine.

Gentlemen,
Thanks for your reactions. In the meantime the PS13 is functioning perfectly on the new machine including Windows 7, but without displayed video. That video disappears from both monitors as soon as PS13 starts flying (even the sound of an active flight is there). Likely I'll have to make use of an HD, SD monitor. I'll keep you informed as soon as the monitor has been connected. At least I have to prove myself the meaning of "supporting fullsccreen mode".

Just to be sure: do you use the 'WinPS1' wrapper, http://www.hoppie.nl/747install ? This should run PS1 in a window and not at all full screen.

Dear Jeroen,
Thank you very much in helping me. I am familiar with the Wrapper, it works fine for the XP, but WINDOWS 7 follows her own rules. It does not work out this time. I think to work around the problem and will install the XP SP3 on the
machine for a while.

Apparently both Vista and Windows7 really end the PS1.3 world for good.

If you have Windows7 Professional/Enterprise or Ultimate you can install the Windows XP Mode. PS1 works within this Virtual XP.
However I never managed to map the USB joystick to this virtual PC.

Now I have a dualboot XP (10Gb) with PS1.3 and the rest is for Windows 7.

Dear gentlemen,
I am succesfull in my attempts to fly with PS 1.3 while making usage of DOSBox 0.73 ( http://www.dosbox.com/ ) and in making use of Windows 7.
It took me a while, but I am now in "DOS Mode" again and not any longer hampered by "This system does not support fullscreen mode" and so on remarks. And, awaiting the new PSX system in the near future.
Thank you all for your support.
