Major changes in new NavDB

Hi guys,

first, thanks a lot, Hardy, for the new NavDB.  :D

Just for entertainment / fun, here is a topic to talk about changes in the NavDB. I have mainly significant changes in mind, like new runways, but anything else you can think off.

Here is what I have noticed so far:
CYYC - Calgary - has a new 4th runway
WMKK - Kuala Lumpur - has a new 3rd parallel runway, mainly for low cost operators.
OOMS - Muscat - has now a 2nd runway
ZGGG - Guangzhou - has now 3rd parallel runway
KFLL   - Ford Lauderdale - has upgraded the south parallel runway to full size

ZLYS   is a new (in the DB) high altitude airport in the Tibetian Highland of China and is now in the official international Chinese AIP as a emergency use diversion airfield for international operators. (Not a new airport, but so far, documents available only for domestic operators.)
You might want to train high altitude operations here.  8)

Anythings else?

Yes, LLBG has a new runway (03-21) with many new APPs (and few new STARs).

could somebody please try out something for me, as i haven t bought the new update yet....

Does LEBL (Barcelona El Prat) has a working Atis frequency now?

this did not work before

many thanks

Marc, LEBL ATIS is now coded as an ATIS frequency in the new database. The error still existed in the original government data, but I corrected it manually before compiling it.

There are even more "new" airports. In Jepp Charts they are labelled with "Emergency forced landing aerodrome for foreign airline transport flights".

In addition to ZLYS, I also found
ZLDH - Dunhuang, China
ZWKC - Kucha, China
ZWTL - Turpan, China

Usually, all these airports are not available for international operators and thus, the data is not included in the Chinese AIP or eAIP.

All these 4 airports are in the NavTech database and thus in PSX. For some reason, ZLJQ (located at CHW VOR) made it only to the Jeppesen database but not the NavTech database.
