1/ An instructor station app for the iPad.

2/ A sound player addon, to allow me to run sounds with running PSX.

Download Spashtop App for the iPad, then go to their site for the Mac/Windows version for your PC.  I use it today and it works great.

Can't help you wil your second one.

I've just had a look at Splashtop App for the iPad and was wondering whether/how you got it running in 'local network' mode.. ie. without having a Splashtop online account.

Splashtop refused point blank to work this way for me - possibly because I have two IP addresses on my Mac and I wasn't able to figure out how to change the IP in either the Streamer or the Client. (Streamer used one whereas Client found the other during the setup process!)

As a long time IT security specialist (30+ years!) I have a major issue with providing data on remote-accessing my computer to some 'cloud-based' entity - especially as there appears to be no way of seeing what data is being stored in your online account!

There are a number of other programs which do the same thing without requiring anything 'on-line'...  Wideview, Maxivista & AirDisplay to name just a few.

Interesting. the major problem with remote desktop apps is you have to have a computer to run it into and that uses up a PSX license.
